Temperatures inside a switched off solar
panel can easily reach 150ºC.
Due to the SolarVenti patent on, among
other things, the self-circulating
cooling system, the temperature inside
the SolarVenti panel never rises above
75ºC, even when it is idle.
Thus, the solar cell and ventilator
never overheat. The automatic cooling
system ensures that the system can be
turned off at any time via a switch or
thermostat or, in the event of damage,
without impairing the solar cell or
ventilator. Simple and safe, as the
automatic cooling system does not use
electricity and, therefore, always
works.
A self-circulating cooling system also
keeps the interior of the solar panel
clean. With the self-circulation system
in the panel on a wall or roof, the
ventilator does not need to blow cooling
- but “used” - air and even cooking
fumes and smoke from inside the home out
through the panel which can quickly
result in destructive deposits of dirt
inside the solar air collector panel.
The self-circulating cooling system also
means that there will be excess
electricity from the solar cell which,
on hot days, can be used to run a
well-placed, cooling air injection
system elsewhere in the home.
Our patent on the automatic cooling
system has also enabled us to place the
solar cell’s glass plate solar film
discretely inside the panel behind a
robust thermal plastic layer which
protects against thrown up pebbles. The
solar cell releases its own heat into
the system which contributes to a very
high level of performance per square
centimeter.
